Voices of Singapore 2010 : In Celebration of Youth Olympic Games - RT/WW
In Singapore, excitement is building up to the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) which is 19 days away.... Everywhere one goes, one can see banners and posters of the upcoming event.
I was invited to the launch of "Voices of Singapore 2010 : In Celebration of Youth Olympic Games" music CD album at The Singapore Association for the Deaf this morning.
Mayor Zainudin Nordin, Central Singapore District and Chairman of the Community Outreach Advisory Committee of Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee joined students from the Singapore School for the Deaf and Mountbatten Vocational School to celebrate Singapore 2010 YOG using sign language.
I'm glad that the hearing impaired community can also enjoy the songs on "Voices of Singapore 2010" and partake in the Singapore 2010 celebratory activities. The songs in the album are truly inspiring. The winning song "Dare to Dream" by Najib Siddik is about believing in oneself and achieving the impossible.
Members of the public who would like to own a copy of the limited edition "Voices of Singapore 2010" CD album can visit www.facebook.com/nycsg to find out more about the upcoming calendar of activities where they can stand a chance to win the music CD.
I'm eagerly awaiting the August 14 opening ceremony of YOG. The organizers are expecting about 2 billion viewers around the world. The heads of international sports federations and the global media such as America's NBC, China's CCTV, CNN International, Newsweek, USA Today and Japan's Asahi Shimbun will all be in Singapore to attend the event.
Hope I'll have the time to do some reporting from the site ....... so excited! :D
