Nothing says goodbye like a dead fish at a hockey game
Nothing says goodbye like a dead fish at a hockey game - A simple prayer and a sincere toast don't seem to cut it in the tribute department anymore. Roger Paquette decided to honor his son Garrett, a Toronto Maple Leafs fan who died in an ATV accident in November, by tossing a salmon onto the ice when the Leafs played at Vancouver. It's not the most original idea -- octopi and catfish get hurled in Detroit and Nashville -- but it still required Paquette and his co-conspirators to avoid detection by perfuming and vacuum wrapping the fish before smuggling it in under jerseys. Which raises the question, what perfume goes best with salmon?
